| Joining Instructions: | Join overhead at 1500' QNH , Circuit height 1000' QNH. Circuits to the South of the airfield and A14, to avoid over flight of new housing to the West of the airfield and Industrial Estate to the South.
Please note, there is an angled base leg and short finals in operation for 09 on the southerly right hand circuit to avoid over flight of new houses. Please avoid long finals on 09. ALL pilots, particularly visiting glider tug pilots, please be aware of the need to keep reasonable height on the approach to land on runway 27 due to the presences of private properties close to or under the flight path. This is most important when tug aircraft are towing the cables astern of their machines. Please avoid over flight of farm 1.25Km N/E of 27 threshold. Radio controlled model aircraft are regularly operated on the airfield by the Bury Model Flying Club. These joining instructions provide adequate warning and time for models to be kept clear of the runways when full size aircraft are landing. |
| Parking: | Visiting aircraft are NOT to park to the North of 09/27, unless visiting the gliding group. No other entrance/exit points to the airfield are to be used by aircrew/passengers other than that indicated on the map. Visitors are to park their aircraft by the WW2 Control Tower as shown on the map by red box and red 'P' and walk down the route of the green line and arrange to be picked up at the end of the yellow vehicle route indicated. |

Insurance Requirements
All aircraft that use Rougham Airfield, in whatever context, are required to carry appropriate insurance cover: In the case of 'resident' aircraft, or those which make use of the Airfield on a regular basis, a copy of the insurance certificate must be supplied to the owners of the Airfield. Appropriate changes to cover should be made. For example, in the case of a jointly owned aircraft being used by a less experienced pilot, revisions need to be supplied to the Airfield owners.
Please note that vehicle, personal and other insurance cover may well be altered or compromised by going 'airside' at any aviation facility: In this respect, all areas of Rougham Airfield owned by The Rougham Estate are classified as being 'airside'.
